Forum Introduction

Guanghua Yong Scholars Forum serves as a significant branding initiative of Fudan University, with the objective of actively seeking and accurately selecting talents. The forum has been successfully organized for seven consecutive sessions since 2016, attracting over 3,000 outstanding young talents from both domestic and international backgrounds to participate. Its ultimate goal is to contribute to the nation and Shanghai by fostering a large-scale community of young scientific and technological talents. This forum thoroughly implements the new ideas, new strategies and new measures proposed by President Xi Jinping on talent work in the new era, as well as embraced the spirit of both the national and Shanghai talent work conference. In order to further implement the university's 'great talent strategy',  the forum focused on recruiting exceptional young talents domestically and internationally, thereby establishing a robust foundation for the university to construct a strategic talent force and making significant contributions to both the nation and Shanghai in cultivating a large-scale team of young scientific and technological talents.

Intelligent Complex Systems Sub-Forum Introduction

The 6th Guanghua Young Scholars Forum of Fudan University- Intelligent Complex Systems Sub-Forum is organized by Research Institute of Intelligent Complex Systems, with the aim of establishing an academic exchange platform for outstanding young scholars from various disciplines both domestically and internationally. Through academic seminars and talent fairs, this forum will explore topical issues related to the international academic frontier, promote academic exchanges and cooperation, and attract global talents to participate in our university's talent introduction programs.

Application Requirements


Young Talents:

Compensation & Treatment for oversea outstanding young talents

Compensation

Generally 500,000 yuan/year (before tax, including insurance and housing fund), minimum performance of 50,000 RMB/year (before tax) within three years after hiring, no cap on all types of incentive performance.Supplementary subsidies from the university’s talent plan for outstanding candidates.

Others : 1) Support from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission project. 2) Tax incentives. 3) Outstanding candidates selected for the university’s on-campus cultivation program can receive a special individual award of 100,000 yuan per year (before tax) during the cultivation period, which typically lasts for 3 years. 4) New Engineering Talent Fund (maximum bonus of 750,000), Millet Young Scholars (bonus of 500,000) and other special funds for talents donated from outside the school.


Residence

1.Subsidies from the university: The university offers a tax-free housing subsidy of 900,000 yuan, which can be withdrawn upon purchase.

2.Subsidies from the state and Shanghai: The state and Shanghai government provide one-time subsidies of up to 1,250,000 million yuan (tax exemption), with a minimum guarantee of 875,000 yuan. Additionally, there are supplementary benefits for talents relocating to Pudong New Area, including rental subsidies and project support.

3.Transitional housing security: A number of talent apartments with direct access are available for rent near the campus to ensure smooth transition.


Funding for Research Initiation

1.Subsidies from the university: The university offers funding of up to 3,000,000 yuan.

2.Subsidies from the state: The state provides financial support from 1,000,000 to 3,000,000 yuan.

3.Exceptional candidates will be enrolled in the university's on-campus cultivation program, with a possibility of receiving an additional funding of up to 2,000,000 yuan.


Team Construction

Candidates will be directly designated as doctoral supervisors, with quota for one doctoral student for each of the first three years of the initial appointment period. Additionally, support will be provided for research team establishment and recruitment of postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, full-time staff and other team members.

Exceptional candidates will be enrolled in the university's on-campus training program, with an additional quota of one doctoral student during the training period.


Education For Candidates’ Children

Comprehensive guarantees of basic education will be provided, enabling candidates’ children to access the highest quality school resources in Shanghai. Based on school policies and approvals, specific arrangements will be made according to academic degrees.


Medical Security

The university has 19 affiliated hospitals, including 6 renowned institutions such as Zhongshan Hospital and Huashan Hospital. About the Research Institute

Research Institute of Intelligent Complex Systems was officially established in June 2018 as a university-level scientific research institution. Currently, the laboratory members engage in cutting-edge research and integrated development work across multiple intersecting fields of basic theories and key technologies related to complex systems and artificial intelligence. The members consist of research and technical personnel at various levels, including national level and Shanghai City, who are highly dynamic and have achieved numerous accomplishments.

About Fudan University

Founded in 1905 as Fudan Public School and renamed Fudan University in 1917, Fudan University is the first institution of higher learning independently established by Chinese people. Shanghai Medical University was founded in 1927 as the Fourth National Sun Yat-sen University School of Medicine. In 2000, Fudan University merged with Shanghai Medical University.
